Superintendent
Dr. Elizabeth C. Homan (Liz) has worked in rural, suburban, and urban school settings and has over 15 years of experience in K-12 and higher education, leading schools at the district level and teaching writing and teacher education courses. As a K-12 administrator, Liz spent three years overseeing technology infrastructure, systems, instructional technology, and libraries in Massachusetts schools before becoming Assistant Superintendent in Waltham and later Superintendent in Arlington. Her leadership work has focused on shifting the cultures of organizations towards innovation, inclusivity, and equity by involving community members in the design and implementation of student-centered curriculum and programming. Liz is a believer that we do our best work in partnership with those who have walked different but convergent paths, and that schools should be places that support the growth and joy of every child, as well as the people who love and support them.
