Mr. Dingman grew up in upstate New York, in a town named Alexandria Bay nestled against the mighty St. Lawrence River. He is the product of a teaching family. Both his parents were elementary public school teachers for 35+ years. His sister and brother-in-law, you guessed it. Both teachers. Mr. Dingman started in early education, spending two years as an Assistant Director of a wonderful childcare in Boulder, CO. From there he spent the next seven years teaching in the primary grades, followed by four years, as principal of a regional elementary school in western Massachusetts. Since 2014, he has been the proud principal of the greatest elementary school with greatest children and families in Arlington, MA.

Families and teachers have described Mr. Dingman as an enthusiastic, high-energy educator who leads through the lens of students. He believes in building a positive community and developing a school culture that emphasizes educating the whole child. Mr. Dingman is guided by the unwavering belief that all students can learn if given the right opportunity.

He believes that leadership is the responsibility of every member of the teaching team, and that interdependence is what drives a truly collaborative organization. He also likes to have a lot of fun. Outside of school, Mr. Dingman loves being on the water, reading, playing with his three rambunctious children and beautiful wife, snowboarding, talking education with his teacher parents, playing basketball and golf, and rooting for his favorite Colorado sports teams (sorry Boston fans).

Started at Dallin Elementary School in 2016

Education
I received my BS in Early Childhood Education and Special Education licence from Wheelock College. I also earned by Masters in Human Development/Child Psychology from Boston College.

Getting to Know Ms. LeBlanc
I was raised and currently live in Norwood. I come from a large family with 6 siblings and am very close with my 3 nieces and 6 nephews. I also have a rescue dog and love to be outside hiking, biking and kayaking. I also love to work in my yard, do home improvement projects, building things, refinishing furniture, puzzles and going to flea markets.

I have been in the teaching field for 28 years and previously worked at the Stratton school and Menotomy Preschool here in Arlington. I love to be with children and help them make new discoveries. My favorite thing is reading children's stories and creating various hands on projects that motivate learning. I like to have fun and laugh with the kids on a daily basis. The most important thing I always emphasize is respect, diversity and emotional safety. I always tell the children "never give up" and I hold that true to my own goals and aspirations-We will be reaching for the sky together!

Susan Parker

Started at Dallin Elementary School in 1998

Education
I received my BS in Early Childhood Education and also in moderate Special Needs from Lesley College. I later returned to Lesley, earning my MEd in Early Childhood Education, with a specialization in Special Needs. I also have my License in Education Administration. You're never too old to keep learning and growing!

Training and Other Work Experience
I taught Kindergarten in Jamaica Plain, until that program ended, when I switched to teaching Middle School students at The Cotting School in Lexington, a private school for students with identified special needs. I taught those wonderful students for 6 years, then switched back to my original calling, which is Kindergarten! I have now been in Arlington since 1998.

Getting to Know Mrs. Parker
I have wanted to be a Kindergarten teacher since I was 4 years old and have never looked back! I am also the lucky, proud, exhausted mother of a child in elementary school, so I know what it is like to be invested, excited, worried, and consumed on both sides of the school and home fronts! My mission is to make each child want to come to school every day! I want each child to feel safe, loved, understood, appreciated, and free to take risks and "oops" on a regular basis. I am proudly known to my students as "The Queen of Oops!" I want both parents and child to make friends, experiment, observe, hypothesize, reflect, compare/contrast, respect, embrace, create, and fondly recall your ten wonderful months in Kindergarten. Kindergarten is a journey - not a race, and not a competition. Sit back and enjoy your ride!

Started at Dallin Elementary School in 2015

Education, Training, and Other Work Experience
I am the son of two educators and musicians. My Father Robert was a Middle & High school teacher of Graphic Arts. I used to love to visiting his class when I was little and create silk screens of my favorite cartoon characters. My mother Mary was an Elementary classroom teacher and then the director of an Extended Day for over 20 years where I received my first experiences working with kids as a teenager. After graduating from UMass Boston with a B.A. in Music I became a Pre-School Teacher for a year. Realizing that my true love was music I began teaching music to Pre-Schoolers at numerous Pre-schools while also performing full time. I have toured most of the East Coast playing Dive-Bars, Clubs and Colleges. I have also taught at 6 different Boston Public Schools as a music teacher for 15 years. I'm very excited to now be here at Dallin!!

Getting to Know Mr. Malagodi
I have 3 kids and a wonderful wife. We love to go to the beach, Ski, make music together and travel as much as possible. My Goal here at Dallin is to cement the role of music as a Community building force that inspires each classroom and Dallin Family!!!
