After reading or listening to a middle-grade book by Susan Tan, Kindergarten through fifth grade students were able to hear her speak about her craft and answer audience questions.
The artworks from two AHS students were recognized for, as described on the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards website, “...their originality, skill, and the emergence of a personal voice and vision.”
Ottoson Middle School eighth grade students heard from local community leaders who are topic experts, asked questions, and gathered the information they needed to advance their Civics Action Projects.
This winter there were 80 middle and high school students taking part in district, senior and All-State Festivals, and the AHS Honors Orchestra performed for the community and was selected to demonstrate music excellence at the Massachusetts Music Educators’ All-State Conference.
